Learn 10 easy steps anyone can take to improve their gardens and landscapes: Earth Kind Garden Practices
Jasper Master Gardener classes are offered about once a year and take five months to complete. After 50 hours or horticultural training, graduates are expected to keep up with 12 hours of training per year, and to give back an equal number of hours of service every year to maintain their status as master gardeners.
Jasper Master Gardeners maintain the Outdoor Learning Center and greenhouse at Jasper Arboretum on Water Street. They often share a table with Master Naturalists at Farmers Market (Saturday mornings during the growing season) where they answer garden questions and sell milkweed to raise money for the butterfly garden and Butterfly House. Master Gardeners will provide speakers to local clubs and schools on a variety of educational programs.
